Euphoric Melancholy is the 2nd self-produced solo album by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mitchel Emms, following 2019's 'Vertigo At History's Edge'.

Mitch began work on the album during the worldwide pandemic and was written, recorded, produced and mixed entirely by Emms in his home studio and finished in late 2023.
The body of work resulted in a tightly crafted 10 track concept album that thematically explores Emms' personal journey of self discovery and awakening through the musical lens of indie, alternative, post-rock and electronica with a cinematic quality.
The music aims to strike the balance between experimental expression and a love for emotion-filled melodicism, reflecting the albums title of opposites colliding, and takes the listener on a rollercoaster ride of styles, moods and imagery.
Emms as a working musician has appeared on stages worldwide and his voice broadcast into venues and living rooms all around the UK, however on 'Euphoric Melancholy', it is here that he is in his element as an fully realized artist in his own right. In Emms' own words, 'this is the album i've always wanted to make'.
